The Range and Target Activities trip at Camp Durant, which took place over a weekend, was a remarkable experience that brought together 13 enthusiastic Scouts and 5 dedicated adult leaders. This event not only provided an opportunity for skill development but also fostered camaraderie and teamwork among participants. Throughout the trip, the Scouts engaged in various shooting activities that were designed to enhance their marksmanship and safety skills. As a result of their hard work and commitment, 3 Scouts successfully earned their Rifle merit badge, demonstrating proficiency in handling and shooting rifles with accuracy and responsibility. Additionally, 5 Scouts achieved the Shotgun merit badge, showcasing their abilities in shotgun handling and shooting techniques. The trip was well-organized, with structured lessons and ample practice time on the range, ensuring that each Scout could improve their skills while adhering to safety protocols. Overall, the Range and Target Activities trip was not only a great success in terms of merit badge achievements but also served as a memorable bonding experience for all involved.
