Those going on our Florida Sea Base trip in 20-- will be part of a Coral Reef Sailing Adventure. Your home for a week will be a large sailing vessel over 40 feet long, and you will be sailing the Florida keys and snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs in the area as well as part of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. You will also have the opportunity to study astronomy, navigation, fish identification, and coral reef ecology. So join us for the Coral Reef Sailing Adventure, sharpen your navigational skills and enjoy snorkeling and fishing all in one package.

 

Location: Lower Matacumbe Key, located 75 miles south of Miami

Requirements:

• Must be 13 years old upon arrival

• Must have completed the First Class rank upon arrival

• Active membership in the troop by attending meetings on a regular basis

• Mandatory attendance at multiple preparation activities throughout the year (schedule TBD)

• Estimated cost for this trip is $1500, and the first deposit of $500 is due on October 1st

• Cancellations are responsible for finding replacement crew members
