Kerr Lake Island Canoe trip Hemrick Scout Reservation Sept 8-10, 2023
Scouts have the entire Island to practice Scout Skills. There is an orienteering course there. This will be a great opportunity to complete Camping, Canoeing, Fishing and rank advancement requirements. Another great Troop 318 adventure.

September 8, 2023 Meet at the Garden Center 5:30PM
Depart Garden Center 6:00PM
Arrive Longwood Park Spots 50 and 51 - 7:30PM Friday night Camp.
September 9, 2023 9:00 AM Load canoes for Hemric Scout Reservation
Return to Garden Center September 10, 2023 1:00 PM estimate.
The September canoe trip. to Hemric Scout reservation, is an Island Scout camp in the middle of Kerr lake. It can only be reached by water. It's like a 1950s camp.
We will depart Friday, September 8, and travel to a Longwood Park campground. (Longwood Park spots 50 and 51) So we will spend the night there and launch Saturday Morning ( Launch site is on the other side of the bridge. (like a mile away.) The trip to the Island. I've been told that its a 40 minute paddle there.
